Novice TeamOur Novice Team is for swimmers new to synchronized swimming. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 25 yards (1 pool length) without stopping.
Pre-Season for Novice swimmers is September through November with one meet at the beginning of December. Swimmers who wish to continue will compete on a team routine during the competitive season from January to May. Novice team members will be grouped with kids of a similar age and who are also first or second year synchronized swimmers. |
Intermediate TeamOur Intermediate Teams are comprised of swimmers that have completed their first year as a novice swimmer, or new swimmers with more swimming experience (based on coach recommendation). Intermediate Team members learn a team routine and may also compete in smaller groups (duets or solos), depending on interest and skill level.

Age GroupThe Age Group program is designed to build upon basic skills and teamwork, and offers swimmers a path through progressively more advanced skills and competitions. Athletes compete at the Association level and can qualify to compete at the Regional, Zone, and National levels. To qualify for the next level of competition, the swimmers must generally place in the top 3. 5280 Synchro has consistently qualified for the National Junior Olympic competition that caps the season each summer. Age Group swimmers may also travel to an invitational or Zone meet during the year (2-3 travel meets should be expected each season). Age Group swimmers compete as a team and/or combination, and swimmers upon recommendation from the coach and in agreement with both swimmers and parents may work on a small routine as well (duet or solo).
